Cpl Charles J.Glenn USMC Memorial
Honoring Cpl Glenn
Location: 1101 Marlborough Street - Philadelphia, PA 19125
Dedicated on Veterans Day, November 11, 1967. Located at 1101 Marlborough Street, Philadelphia PA 19125.

On July 7th, 1967 Cpl Charles J. Glenn 3rd was shot and killed in an ambush near the City of DaNang in the Republic of Vietnam. Cpl. Glenn was the only child of Charles J. Glenn JR and Dolores Glenn. He lived in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia and was that neighborhoods’ first son to die in the Vietnam War.

His death was hard on the community because Cpl Glenn was a well known and well liked young man and his parent’s grief was dreadful. A group of family, friends and neighbors formed a group and erected this memorial to the Fallen Marine.
